Day 8

Today was the day where I was ready to go home. We did get to do some more stuff before we went home though.

Today we took a short tour in Central Park. People were singling Lennon songs in strawberry fields. We eventually came upon theses arches and people were singing some hyms. They were really good to. We saw this old man on his electric scooter with his beats which was really funny, and it reminded me of some people. 

We then went to a cathedral which was cool. Similar to the other cathedral we saw in the beginning of my trip. After the cathedral we went to this museum. It was called the Metropolitan museum. This place was huge. We almost got lost. Well we did get lost a couple of times. The art and sculptures were so amazing in this place, I found it very interesting. There was a punk rock exhibit where they had all of the outfits in the puck rock time. It was sooo cool. This defiantly is a museum I recommend. 

After this great museum we were in the airport. After I went through security and put my plastic box on the stack, I put my shoes on. I was getting my stuff and the whole stack of boxes fell and everyone thought that I knocked it over. My teacher wanted to get a picture of my face because it was priceless apparently. We were soon on a plane eating dollars worth of candy and the first thing I said when I got of my bus was " I have arrived" All the parents laughed. We drove home and I fell asleep. That was the end of my week in the east coast. And all I can say, it was awesome. 

Day 7

Ahhhh broadway, the time you get dressed up in nice clothes, and enjoy all of the talent on the stage. Not only did I get to enjoy this life time experience I got to see more monumental buildings like the Statue of Liberty and the 9/11 memorial. 

First we went on a boat ride to see the Statue of Liberty. It was under construction so we did not see it up close. It was still cool though. Anyway the area I was in was slightly intense. People were aggressively selling us cheap knockoffs. Let me tell you this story about an annoying kid. This person talked to everyone he saw, and I mean EVERYONE. Telling the truth here, he is annoying. Anyway one person was trying to sell him a Rolex watch and he said "Yeaterday I went into the Rolex store and the cheapest watch was 5 grand, so how can that be 45$ and not work. It's Fake!" After he said that the guy took a walk of shame. Not to be mean or anything but it was slightly funny.

So after this we went to the 9/11 memorial. This wa another touching moment for my classmates. The memorial had giant pools with the names of the dead. The place had a tree that was actually in the scene. They said the tree was living and they had to nurse it back to health.

After this we were allowed two hours to get ready. And this was not enough time for me. I didn't have enough time to curl my hair. Now you probably don't want to hear about my outfit problems. Anyway we went to go see the lion king, and it wa awesome. Now I did forget my glasses but it was still cool. 

This day was awesome, fantastic, and amazing. I hope all of you go see a broadway show one day, one day.

Day 6

Today was one of the most entertaining days of this trip. It all started with your usual tour and trips, for example we went to the liberty bell and we got lunch at this market which was awesome. There is a cheesesteak which is vegitarian and it tastes so good. So go to Phili for some sandwiches. After lunch we went on a two hour drive to New York New York. First shop was 5th avenue.

Now this place was crowded. There was no chaperones to stay with you, so imagine keeping track of 110 eighth graders on 5th avenue. It was so fun for the girls. I got a new dress for broadway which is Tommorow. Anyway we shopped for two hours and it was so fun, the guys just followed the girls everywhere. Anyway on 5th There is all of the designer stores that no one can afford except the rich kids. So there is me, the tourist shopping at H and M whilst the New Yorkers were at all the expensive stuff. We then had pizza, now this pizza was so amazing. Even though I did take off the grease it still was amazing. After I got my pizza and colonies, we left and went to the top rock. Top rock is a place where you can see this view which is amazing. Well have a great day everyone.

Day 5

Yay Tommorow we get to sleep in (6:30). Anyway I don't have much to say because we mainly did bus tours but also went to some other places.

First we went to Gettysburg. Our tour guide was awesome, you can literally ask  them anything about Gettysburg and they will know. Apparently they had to take a 245 test about this place and about 10 with the top highest scores make it. So come here and ask anything, they will know it!!!!!!!

After the bus tour in Gettysburg we went to some memorials and then went to the Amish country. Now I have to say it is very fascinating to learn how they live. They are very friendly and welcoming. Anyway I bought some Amish root beer, lemonade, raspberry jam, and some candy. It was all very nice. We could not take picures of the Amish people though but it was still cool to see how different they are from us today. After the tour of the Amish we went and got these great pretzels, I got 3 of them they were really good.

Sorry It's short I just need to relax and sleep. But honestly that's all we did today. Bye

Day 4

Today we did many many things so I am warning you that this may be a long post. 

First, we went to a veterinary cemetery and we saw the guards who did this ceremony for the lost veterinarys. And for some of my classmates, they got to place this wreath which was a great moment. I would have done it, but we had to write and essay and I was to busy working on my 10 minute speech. I have to say the rain complemented this scene greatly. Every eighth grader was proud/sad but at that moment in time, after seeing all of them cry yesterday at the Holocost, that we have become very mature. Of course there are a few people who are annoying and obnoxious. Well lets consider that I have been with most of these people for 7years and some 8years so I have the ability to watch how they develop their personality. It is a very nice place to visit so go there.

Next we went to the museum of space and air planes ( that's not the real name but it goes something like that) There we had freezed dried ice cream which was amazing. It tasted like ice cream but it had the texture of a Lucky Charm marshmallow. Any way after that we went to the Smithsonian where we went to 2 museums. The first one we went into was an animal one which was actually used in the movie the night of the museum. This museum was really cool I don't know the exact name. But it is cool, then we went to the American history museum. Now because of the time limit we did not get much time in here. Partly because we got in trouble an then our teachers followed us and have a tour. Also because I ask a question which embarrassed myself. So after that we went to the White House.

The White House is awesome. At the time we saw these cars leaving the house so the president might have been in their, so in a way we saw the president. Anyway after all of the walking and touring our bus tour guide told us we are going to see 4 more memorials. 

We saw the Lincoln memorial, Rosevelt memorial, This other memorial that I don't remember the name of. And lastly the memorial I also forget the name of.      

By this time I had enough and I wanted to go to the hotel. But this memorial was amazing it has something to do with Jefferson though. We went at 9 o'clock so is was dark and it was so beautiful. I just remembers what it is called, The Jefferson memorial. Anyway it was so cool at night with the water. 

I wrote this on day 5 because I was late so I will try and type another one to night bye!

Day 3

After waking up at 5 Am!!!!! We were on time for breakfast this time and then left on a 3 hour journey to Washington. We first went to an amazing cathedral which was soon amazing and I recommend it. The detail is tremendous and so cool!! We had a tour which was ok, I just enjoyed all of the colorful windows and the huge HUGE place. After that we went to one of the places I wanted to go the Capitol. 

It is so cool and we got a tour which was ok. We took lots of pictures and we also got to go into the House of Representatives. We never got to see them in action because we went early. O I forgot to mention when I woke up it was raining, it was warm rain as-well. We were in Virginia at the time . Luckly, my friends Aunt is a representative so I got to meet her which was pretty cool. After we saw the Capitol we went to the Holocost Museum.

Now this place was all about Hitler and what he did and what he did. This place made everyone upset people were even crying. It was very emotional, the quotes and pictures and the real live objects just affected you in some way. I have to say though, for a extremely tired eighth grader this place was so interesting. I got to see people's emotions which was a new thing for me (to see people from my school have emotions) 

This is defiantly a place to go before you die, seriously. Now I don't cry for anything except passed away loved ones so I did not cry but I was torn inside. It is hard to explain his actual experience. You just need to experience it yourself.

After all of the emotions we went for dinner and all of us were just shocked and it was close to silent with quiet murmers from our school and loud annoying girls from the other girls. After dinner our emotions did not just stop there we then went to this wall.

This wall had all of the veterans who died or were missing names on it. Again most of the eighth grade was shocked. We all realized that there were soooo many names up there, on that wall it was amazing. Seriously go see this!! 

We then saw the World war 2 memorial which is so cool. There is a fountain in the middle and the 50 states names in a circle and right behind it is another monumental structure. Please go to Washington it is worth it.

Day 2

Today we had to wake up at the early ish  time of 7:00 and for me it would be 4:00 am because of the time difference. Even though we were 10 minutes late of breakfast we did not get in trouble by our strict but funny English teacher. So after everyone got on the bus we went into the cool mourning to Williamsburg. First, If you eve come o Virginia go here but go in the mourning so it I slightly cooler. Even though most of my class was sluggish and tired, we all mostly enjoyed it. We got a full tour of the town. Our tour guide was so funny his name is Jason Bailey so if you want to request I recommend it. This tour was very interesting, there was role play and 18th century dancing it was all very fun. After a couple of hours at Williams burg we then went to James town.

I have some things to say about this place, one it I extremely hot so wear sun screen. And second I do not recommend the full 2 hour tour. Yes, it was very informative but it is very long. I personally think it would be better with a smaller group. It is a great place to explore and look around, an is very large area so you can take your time. But of course I made the mistake of wearing vans the whole time which caused my feet to hurt very much. What I do have to say is that you can ask a question to anyone and they WILL answer it no matter what. If you go down to the water there is a nice breeze so go there if your hot. Any way James Town is a great area to explore and I advise it. 

After the long, sticky tour we went back to Williams burg to do a night type tour. A guide told us all about the different shops that were there and it was very nice. There was lightning bugs, and I have never seen one before so we caught one and the someone brought it on the bus. We are now finally at our hotel enjoying the ability to sit and use our phones with free wifi. Good night :) (or good morning/afternoon/anything in between) I am sleeping now ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......

Day one

We went on a red eye flight which was terrible, I got a very little amount of sleep so throughout the day I was exausted. We went to this huge mall for breakfast. And then we went to Newseum which is all about reporting and media which was kinda cool. We then went to go see a 4D movie which was totally awesome and I recommend it. After that we went to go see the hand written constitution/ declaration of indepence. Oh and a reminder it is SUPER hot here so if you come to Virginia be prepared for humid weather. Also they are three hours ahead if you live in California. After that we went to George Washingtons mansion and that area. I recommend seeing this is it pretty cool. So honestly I don't have that much to say because it has been a tiresome day but we did go see a 20 minute movie which my friend and I slept through. It helped me regenerate, but since I am forced to wake up at six am I need as much sleep as I can get.

We went to dinner at Old country buffet which was great. It is a buffet with loads and loads of food even for vegitarians. So go there if you like various foods.

After dinner we are going on a 3 hour car ride to our hotel and I do not know where exactly we are going tomorrow. O and quick comment my teacher takes pictures of kids who are sleeping and he has a stuffed Amish person who he puts in the picture.... It's a tradition but I haven't got my picture yet thank god.

Arrival to the airport

It is not even the beginning of the trip yet and I am freaking out. At this moment in time it is 8:35 and people are forcing me to go on a red eye flight ( over night) which is impossible for me.

I am currently on the bus sitting next to one of the three other room mates. I sadly usually think about the worst possible outcome for things which is a bad thing and can be a good thing. It can be good to be over prepared for some things. Right now I feel like we are going to die on this bus because the driver is not the most accurate. I probably sound snobbish right now but I'm telling the truth. O quick reminder I will be doing some vlogs which will be on YouTube if you want to check them out. They will be under ashabasha1999 but I will need to edit and post them, so that will be after the trip. I get back on the 22/23 at midnight so I will be very exhausted.
